CURIE HIGH SCHOOL BUSINESS & FINANCE and IT ACADEMIES
Sherry P. King, Department Chairperson

Curie High School's Career and Technical Education Programs offer programs that feature a unique, proven approach to preparing students for college and career success. Utilizing state of the art labs, students are engaged in industry-focused instruction that supplements the Chicago Public Schools college prep core curriculum. Students receive real-world training and are exposed to work based learning such as soft skills, job shadows and internships as well as opportunities to gain industry-recognized certifications, scholarships and college credits. Each senior major participates in an annual CTE Capstone Fair where they meet and network with industry professionals. During their three-years in the program, college and career readiness along with academic achievement is emphasized as they work with teachers, mentors, and counselors who specialize in each major. These are only a few of the opportunities available to students in the CTE programs at Curie High School.
