| COURSE DESCRIPTION: This
two-year class integrates AP English with the World Literature course of the
International Baccalaureate Program. In
this course, students will develop clear expression of ideas orally and in
written form. The program encourages
the development of the appreciation of literature and culture of the student's
society as well as of other societies. Through the study and critical analysis of world literature, it is
intended that the student will gain a global perspective of literature and
human thought. Students will take the
IB English examinations at the end of grade 12.

| COURSE DESCRIPTION: This two year course is a rigorous inquiry based science class using
algebra and trigonometry to solve problems in measurement, mechanics,
thermal physics, electricity and magnetism, and atomic and nuclear
physics. Although content is important, the focus of the class
is to understand how scientific experiments are performed.
Students will be asked to investigate various objects and will be
required to determine what and how they investigate their topic
independently. This class requires a strong background in
mathematics and the ability to think logically about the realities of
performing experiments within the context of physical principles.
Students will have the option of taking the Standard Level or Higher
Level Examination in May of their senior year. |
