COURSE DESCRIPTION:Discover the properties of and perform fundamental operations with real numbers.  Explore such topics as statistics, manipulating algebraic expressions, solving equations and inequalities, graphical displays of first degree linear equations and inequalities, systems of equations, exponents and radicals, factors and products of polynomials, quadratic functions, and application problems and modeling. Students will engage in analytical thinking and collaborative exercises using Model Instructional Units developed by the College Board Springboard. COURSE DESCRIPTION: Students will follow the development of a logical mathematical system, based on undefined terms, definitions, postulates, and theorems.  Students will explore theory and applications including lines, angles, triangles, polygons, circles, measurement, geometric constructions, properties of the right triangle and trigonometric relationships.  Students will develop the use of deductive reasoning in designing formal proofs.  Students will cultivate critical thinking skills, problem solving techniques and the latest technology to learn these geometric concepts.  Students will engage in analytical thinking and collaborative exercises using Model Instructional Units developed by the College Board Springboard
