Occupational Prep: will focus on preparing students for life on their own and the development of vocational skills. Students will also work on their personal growth and potential, explore character and ethics, and reflect on their role as citizens within their communities and the classroom. The students will focus on the foundations of work, time management, nutrition and health, social skills/working with others, functional writing, basic money skills, and community based instruction.
Occupational Related: is a continuum of Occupational Preparation, the students will focus on preparing students for life on their own and the development of vocational skills. They will continue to work on personal growth, vocational skills, job readiness, and independent living skills. In this course they will explore careers and the world of work, learn to pay bills, interviewing, transportation -getting to work, maintaining and keeping a job, and health and safety in the workplace.
Occupational Experience: will focus on preparing students for life on their own and the development of vocational skills. The students will transfer the job readiness skills they have been learning into work experience. The students will continue to develop their work skills inside or outside of the classroom. The students will look for part time jobs, job shadowing experiences, and/or internships. The students have an opportunity to get real job experience and a grade for this class.

Marriott Bridges: Bridges staff members, known as Youth Employment Specialists, work with young adults individually and in groups to identify career goals, develop interviewing skills, connect with employers, create a résumé, apply for jobs, get a job, and succeed in a job. Employer Representatives work closely with each young person, providing instruction, guidance, and mentoring that increases confidence, builds character, and enhances professionalism.
