About Me

I grew up near Muskegon, Michigan.  I obtained my Bachelors in Science from Lake Superior State University.  I was a firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service for 7 years in California, Nevada, and Utah, before enrolling in a post-bachelors education program at Moreland University in 2019.  I started teaching Physical Education at Curie in 2020.  I am certified to teach Physical Education and Health, as well as Social Studies.  I am passionate about athletics and try to help and coach as much as possible, and currently coach football, wrestling, and baseball.

In my free time, I enjoy being in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, kayaking, golfing, or going to the beach. Athletics are a keystone of my life as I said, and then so is fitness, exercise, and working out.  I love to travel, and have been lucky enough to visit Peru, Honduras, Costa Rica, Spain, the U.K., Qatar, and the Netherlands, and look forward to future opportunities to experience other cultures.
