About Me

I am the oldest sibling of five. I was born and raised in Chicago up until age 12. Then moved to Querétaro, México, where I perfected my Spanish. I completed high school in Dallas, Texas. After high school I moved back to Chicago.
Education

I enrolled at UIC where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Teaching of Spanish in December 2020.
What made me want to become a teacher were the lovely educators I had throughout the years that always created a safe space for me and others. I always loved going to school because of them. I hope my Spanish classrooms are a safe space for all my students to be themselves and learn about this global language.

Classes

I currently teach Spanish 1, 2 and 3. These classes are for non native speakers. It follows a sequence. Spanish 1 you start with the basics of the target language, like numbers, colors, introducing yourself. Spanish 2 you start writing paragraphs in Spanish and conjugating in both present and past tense. Spanish 3 you're able to communicate more in the target language with minimum help.
