About Me

I have lived in Chicago for nearly 20 years. After I graduated college, I worked for a marketing company for almost 15 years. I found the best part of my job was training and teaching people new things. I discovered my dream was to become a teacher so I went to graduate school to receive my masters in education and became a diverse learner teacher here at Curie.  I love teaching about science because it offers so many opportunities to make connections with real life phenomena by making predictions, thinking critically, and problem solving.  We get to learn hands-on by performing lab experiments, making observations, and recording data.

When I am not teaching I love hanging out with my family and exploring the city on long walks or on my rollerblades. I really like being outside and playing sports. The great things about Chicago are getting to experience the 4 seasons, being so close to the lake, and the food.  My favorite foods are pizza, pasta, chicken, ribs, burritos, and sandwiches.
