Art Appreciation

This course is a historical survey of the visual arts including painting, sculpture, architecture, and the principles of design. The course will enable students to develop an understanding of how an artist has the power to inspire and inform the viewer by making a personal, social, political, or religious statement. Students will also explore the history and art of both past and present world cultures.
