Saluting our Spanish Honor Society Inductees

The Spanish Honor Society is an academic organization dedicated to the promotion of the Spanish Language and the culture of Hispanic countries. The Society typically meets twice a semester and has service learning projects throughout the year. The mission of Curie’s Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica is to recognize high school high academic achievement in Spanish and to promote interest in Hispanic studies.

Prerequisites to join:
Any student modeling The Curie Way who has maintained an honor average in the study of Spanish for a minimum of three semesters and is in the 10th grade or higher is eligible to be a member of the SHH. Three semester A’s and a teacher recommendation in regular classes and an average of 88% and a teacher recommendation in IB/AP classes affords acceptance in the society. Each society member is then required to maintain an "honor grade", which correlates with the Society's mission of high academic achievement.

Year of induction dues are $25.00 which cover for the certificate, honor cord and
refreshments. No other fees will be due the following years of membership. Payment
may be made via cash in the book room or the main office.
