School Improvement Planning
- Review, approve, and monitor the school’s Continuous Improvement Work Plan (CIWP), which outlines academic and operational goals.
Principal Evaluation & Selection
- Hire and renew the contract of the school principal.
- Conduct annual evaluations of the principal’s performance.
Budget Approval
- Review, approve, and monitor the school budget to ensure alignment with school goals and student needs.

Each LSC typically includes:
- Parents, community members, teachers, staff, the principal, and (at high schools) student representatives.

To ensure shared leadership and decision-making between the school and the community.
To keep schools accountable, transparent, and aligned with both student success and community priorities.
