Condor Artists Win Sun-Times Contest!

Two of our IB Art students were chosen as winners of the Sun-Times' snowman art contest! Congratulations to juniors Ingrid C. and Julia P! Their work was featured in the Sunday, March 14, print edition and is online.

RemoFest 2020

REMOFEST is a collection of performances by Curie High School students in the Fine Arts Department. Curie students are finding creative ways to continue their artistic development during remote learning. Fine Arts students at Curie are like water, they can adapt to whatever comes their way. Go Condors! Curie Way!

Curie alumnus Manny Zavala-Suarez was recently featured in Monmouth College's news!

Manny is currently serving as the president of Monmouth's Phi Delta Theta fraternity and was recently recognized as one of 58 members across the country to receive the Outstanding Undergraduate Brother award. The award "is presented for leadership and service to the chapter, campus and community." Manny is majoring in accounting and business and is expected to graduate in 2021.

DaJuan Gordon named Chicago Sun-Times Player of the Year

Last week, Curie senior DaJuan Gordon was named Chicago Sin-Times Player of the Year! He has averaged 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists per game this season, has a 3.3 GPA, and will be playing at Kansas State next year. DaJuan shares this title with previous years' winners, including Cliff Alexander, Jabari Parker, Derrick Rose, and Kevin Garnett. Congratulations, DaJuan!

Curie High School's PAC Presents: Parent University

The Parent Advisory Council works to empower and educate parents and community members. In partnership with Gads Hill Center, we present a 6-week series of free learning workshops on mental wellness to increase advocacy and self-sufficiency skills.
