Science Fair

Science Fair is an exciting opportunity for students to do research, design experiments, collect and analyze data, make conclusions and share their results with the scientific community. There are three ways to participate in the Chicago Public School's Science Fair: Science Fair Project, Science Fair Symposium or Science Fair Essay.

The Science Fair Project consists of a Research Paper, Poster Board, & Presentation.Students can participate at the school, area, city, state and international levels.


The Science Fair Symposium is a research paper due Jan. 8, 2015 and possibly a PowerPoint Presentation at the City Science Fair in March of 2015. Students can participate at the school, city, and state levels.


The Science Fair Essay is centered around a theme each year.The 2014-2015 theme is "Chemistry Has All The Solutions".The due date is Jan. 8, 2015. Students can participate at the school, city, and state levels.


At the City and State Science Fair students can win cash awards and prizes.

Science Club Meetings are on Tuesdays in room 349 and Thursdays in room 350.


In senior year you can apply for a Science Fair Scholarship ($500-$5,000) and tuition reimbursements from local universities. See Ms. Hike Room 354 for scholarship information.
