Beginning Guitar:

This is an entry-level course designed for students desirous on learning to perform the guitar. Notation, rhythm, pitch, time signature, meter will be stressed. Students are expected to perform scales, simple chords and melodies. Individual and group training will be incorporated into this class. No previous experience or teacher recommendation is required for GUITAR I.

 

Intermediate Guitar:

This is the next level of instruction in class and individual GUITAR. Students taking this class should have skills in music reading, scales and independent movement of both hands. Basic chord progressions, major and minor scales are taught. Students can perform solos on the local level on advanced-beginner to intermediate level music. Can be used as the 1-year music and elective graduation requirement. Must have successfully completed BEGINNING GUITAR and/or have the recommendation of the teacher.

 

Advanced Guitar:

This class is designed for the 1st year advanced student. Students in this class will be prepared to perform intermediate to advanced music for solo, small ensemble, and large organization contests/festivals at the school/ community level.
