ARCHITECTURE
Students in the Architecture pathway will learn the basic principles of architecture and learn to use the latest technology to design buildings and complete architectural drawings. Students will master architectural skills such as preparing preliminary drawings and basic layouts; producing working drawings; and creating computer-aided drafts.
Course Descriptions
This course is designed to employ students with introductory artistic and scientific concepts in the solution of architectural design problems. Students will develop problem-solving skills and apply their knowledge of research and design to create solutions to various challenges. Students will also learn how to document their work and communicate their solutions to their peers and members of the professional community.
This is the second course in a three-year sequence of architecture courses. In this course, students will employ intermediate artistic and scientific concepts in the solution of architectural design problems. Successful completion of Architectural Drafting Design I is expected.
This is the third course in the three-year sequence of architecture courses. Successful completion of Architectural Drafting Design I and II are expected. In this course, students will employ advanced artistic and scientific concepts in the solution of architectural design problems.
This pathway allows the students to earn an industry-recognized credential in Autodesk Building Performance Analysis (BPA).
